**NOTE** This is for BOTH Mechanical AND Self Defense Rifle. If you want to attend all 3 days you DO NOT need to also register for Mechanical Rifle as well as this course!

This course is designed lay the foundation for a skillset that you can monitor the progress of with quantifiable results as well as provide the student an answer to a long list of issues they may face. We recognize that you spent money to seek practical information from us so we will not spend half of the day in a classroom preaching at you. We much prefer to get high volumes of work done that actually fire the ammunition you’ve been asked to bring to class.

Concepts covered:

• Problem solving mindset
• Effective Zero (DOPE checks at varying distances)
• Efficient, pointed skillset
• Base construction (positions, body posture, etc.)
• Consistent sight acquisition
• Quickly achieving natural point of aim
• Consistent recoil management
• Adaptable techniques (circumstances change so should the techniques should as well to compensate)
• Self-diagnosis techniques
• South Paw (switch) shooting
• Adjustable grading scheme for required “hard” skills
• Multiple positions
• Efficient stoppage clearance
• One handed shooting
• Use of cover
• Effective footwork
• Austere conditions problem solving

Mandatory Gear requirements:

• Well maintained, magazine fed, service rifle (a backup gun is heavily encouraged)
• Well maintained, magazine fed, service handgun
• 2100 rounds of factory rifle ammunition
• 300 rounds of factory pistol ammunition
• Attached rifle sling (3-point slings are heavily discouraged)
• Proper load bearing belt
• Holster appropriate for handgun
• Minimum 4 rifle magazines, 6 if they’re 20 round (more is better)
• Minimum 3 handgun magazines, 6 for single stack magazines
• Note taking material (not your phone)
• 1 roll of masking tape or 2 rolls of target pasters
• Stapler & Staples
• Electronic Ear Protection
• Eye protection
• Batteries for everything in your gear that takes them
• Tools that service your guns/equipment
• Gun Oil
• Bottled water
• Powdered electrolyte packets

• Packed lunch (Lunch does not exceed an hour per day)

• Enough magazines to not have to load any all day
• Permeant marker (black)
• Elbow/ Knee pads
• Folding chair
• Folding table/ Canopy (range location specific)
• Lead wipes/ Baby wipes

Notices:

• There is an accompanying Range fee of $55 per day that will be paid in cash upon arrival.
• Students acknowledge that any and all actions or activities they are involved or adjacent to are all done of their own free will and at their own risk.
• It is the student’s responsibility to properly plan for weather conditions, nutritional requirements, and temperature concerns. (We’re outside all day and don’t stop)
• Any student that chooses to use reloaded ammunition assumes liability for anything that occurs or does not occur with that ammunition.
• Regular Guy Training LLC is not liable for anything that does or does not happen with factory ammunition.
• The Sig Sauer P320 and ALL of its variants are not permitted at this course, if you show up with one, we will clear it, lock its action to the rear, and place it on the instructors table until the conclusion of the course. If you attempt to dispute its use, we will eject you from the course.
• Minimum age to take class is 10 years old, any minors present are required to have a participating guardian taking the class with them.
• The “end time” listed on this website is a lie, we will work until the job is done, no exceptions.

Cancellation policy:

• Students that cancel their attendance of a course 90 days in advance of the course will receive a full refund.
• Students that cancel their attendance of a course 89-31 days in advance of the course will receive a 50% refund.
• Students that cancel their attendance of a course 30-1 days in advance of a course will not be refunded.
• There is no time frame that a student is required to transfer to a different course. In other words, if you can’t make this one, we can simply place you in another one of your choosing so long as there is an available slot for it.
