If you are the kind of person that goes to class specifically for a class certificate, and a picture with "the guy", then you're gonna have a bad time here. I have over ten years of experience within Army route clearance companies, and I've deployed more than once. The main thing I've learned from all that is that many people have made pretty good livings off of selling that experience to you when it has exactly zero relevance to you. What is relevant to you the individual is the focused and intense dedication to training on all small arms, in as many military and civilian schools as possible, eating breathing, and sleeping fight schools continuously for the last 8 years. You the individual, normal person that bought a gun to defend yourself and your home has damn near nothing to learn from guys that sell their abroad military (and in many cases) police experience to you as the end all be all. Personal experience, and having taught both Marine & Army infantry students as well as police officers with many different jobs within their department has taught us that generally speaking, unless they are within a teir 1 unit, their training is as the old saying goes. "Good enough for government work" That and it's a life that has different rules that the majority of the country doesn't have to live by. We believe that while that experience in these fields is useful for building a mindset, and expressing what actual fear feels like, what it really comes down to is can we tailor our curriculum to you? Can what we teach be relevant to your individual life, and under your individual circumstances? Our program is based off of a fighting gym style of development. We will teach what we know and we'll do it well, but expect to be told the honest (which doesn't mean obnoxious) truth. We pull some hours in our classes because we train until the days curriculum is done. Expect leniency and some trust from us to start because we recognize that we are teaching paying adults and we will not insult your intelligence or adulthood unless given a reason to. Don't expect restrictions on gear either for two reasons. One, we're not cowards hiding behind some lawyers office. We're here to teach people to fight with what they have and if necessary, use the failure of their own gear to teach them that changes need to be made. Two, we have our preferences for a reason, and watching gear die on a regular basis is the reason why we have our preferences, but we also understand that learning through failure is powerful. Expect no "one size fits all" answers from us. We understand that people have different lives, and we do what we can to make everything we are doing currently is something you can actually use in your day to day. For instance, if you drive for a living and use a shoulder holster, we'll arrange it to where you drawing a pistol doesn't mean flagging people. Which usually means that you're on the far left side of the line. This way you can train with what you have, without some goofy methods hindering your progress. If your gun dies, we'll have a spare, if your ammo is crap, we usually have enough ammo on hand for you to buy a replacement case, if a piece of your gear breaks, we have the spares to help you make it work. Bottom line here is that we understand that shit happens as much as you do and will do our best to make sure you get what you paid for when you come out to class. It's not difficult to accommodate people who make expensive mistakes and learn valuable information from them. What is difficult for me to grasp is people not putting forth their best effort, so bring yours to class and I'll do the same. We're proud to have a dedicated student base and hope to have you as apart of our alumni, who span all four corners of the country at this point. Bottom line is that we're good at what we do, and have enough people out there to back us up on that statement. If you want to check us out, then we'll be right here waiting.
