  • Self Defense Pistol- Eastman Georgia September 21-22 2024
    September 21, 2024 - September 22, 2024
    7:00 am - 8:00 pm

This is a course dedicated to providing an individual with a set of self-defense tools that they can use to develop an individual fighting style. This is not a course that spends 5 hours or half a day (out of two) in the classroom or describing a draw via PowerPoint. We believe that while theory can be discussed until you’re blue in the face, it’s hands on time spent on a concept that actually builds proficiency, especially in the realm of self-defense.

***ATTENTION*** This is not a prerequisite course. However, we do not suggest this as a new shooter’s first course as there should be at least a foundation for gun handling that an individual should have before attending a course like this. Taking Mechanical Pistol right before this course is highly recommended for those who are new or have very little formal training. Doing so allows the student to lay an initial foundation before expanding that initial understanding. This also gives myself and our staff more time to learn how you learn. As you can imagine, the more time we spend with you, the more we can develop you.

***NOTE*** The “end time” in the description is a lie, we work until we cover what we need to. This means that there is no “we will be done by” time.

Concepts covered:
-Mindset of a fighter
-Self & home defense theory as well as purpose
-Concealed carry concepts
-One handed techniques for the strong and weak side
-Mental agility and problem solving/ Stress inoculation
-Hard target/ Threat focus
-Managing a pistol in a 360 degree environment
-Various & situational fighting positions
-Efficiency in clearing stoppages with two or one hand
-An introduction to extreme close quarters/ contact shooting
-Movement and Movement while shooting
-Use of cover
-An introduction to crowd management/ negotiation

Gear list as follows:
-Quality self defense pistol. (a spare pistol or back up gun is a good idea)
-Minimum of 4 pistol magazines (x2 for 1911/ singlestack guys)
-1,400 rounds of factory pistol ammunition
-Quality concealed or duty holster and belt
-Eye / ear protection.
-***NOTE TAKING MATERIAL IS MANDATORY***
-Sunscreen
-Bug spray
-Rain/ cold weather gear
-Gun cleaning gear/ tools (gear gets weird in training)

–Stapler/ Staples for cardboard targets & a roll of masking tape

There will be a $50 range material repair and replacement fee PER DAY for the use of this range. It must be paid in cash upon arrival.

You will probably need to bring a lunch our lunches do not exceed an hour.

We will be training rain or shine so bring appropriate clothing and plan ahead for the course. In this portion of the country, its safe to say that the weather has a mind of its own.

**ATTENTION PATREON MEMBERS, IF YOU ARE A $41 A MONTH MEMBER AND WANT TO REGISTER FOR THIS CLASS, SEND AN EMAIL TO US AND SKIP THE REGISTRATION PROCESS TO BE ADDED IMMEDIATELY TO THE ROSTER.**

Cancellations/Refund/Exchange Policy: If you cancel your training 60 days or more from your class date, you will receive a full refund. Transfers between classes or dates are permitted so long as the class you wish to transfer to has a slot available.

There are no exceptions to this policy. Please understand that you are filling a slot that could have gone to someone else. We cannot accommodate cancellations that cost other students spots in our classes. So if possible, we need to the keep the cancellations to a minimum.

Disclaimer: What you buy and use is your own responsibility. Whether or not you choose to modify your guns, you assume the liability of whether or not the gun is operating correctly. As such, you alone will be responsible in the event of a catastrophic failure of the gun or ammunition, including damage to the gun and resulting property damage. Whether or not you choose to bring reloaded ammunition to class you are also solely responsible for whether or not that factory, reloaded, or remanufactured ammunition performs as designed.

Let’s be clear here, whether or not you did something outside of factory specs on either the equipment or ammunition side of the house, or failed to properly assemble critical or noncritical components, and it explodes on you….. It’s on you.

  • Vehicle Defense- Drakesboro Kentucky, September 28-29 2024
    September 28, 2024 - September 29, 2024
    7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

**NOTE** While there is no prerequisite course to this class this is absolutely NOT a beginner’s course. So if you are planning to sign up for this course, understand that it is assumed that you do have a decent understanding of safe weapons manipulation and at least some experience with firearms that goes a little further than a few visits to the flat range.

As we train ourselves in various classes and do our best to handle ourselves on the street, many of us forget that we spend a lot of time in two thousand pound deathtraps called cars. The criminal element understands this as well and has accordingly taken advantage of the fact that many of us get pitifully complacent the very instant we shut the door on our personal vehicles. So, the intent of this class is clear, in this course we will go over many principles that will make an individual far more aware of the issues that we deal with on a regular basis in and out of something as universally used as a personal vehicle.

FOR GPS USERS, WE ADVISE THAT YOU USE GOOGLE MAPS TO FIND THIS RANGE, OTHER APPS HAVE SENT PEOPLE TO THE WRONG STATE! Simply type “down zero shooting club’ into your google maps app and it should get you where you need to be.

Concepts Covered:

-General firearms safety in and out of a vehicle

-EDC and “Truck gun” configuration and augmentation

-Seatbelt and muzzle discipline

-Characteristics that bullets have once they hit different parts of a vehicle

-Holdover/ angle of firearm importance

-Effective medical gear storage

-What can actually be used as cover (It’s usually more or different than you think)

-An introduction to vehicle principles in the dark

-Individual and small team vehicle evacuation

-Enhanced problem solving and target discrimination drills

Gear Requirements:

-A functional, reliable, and zeroed Carbine, Self defense pistol, or shotgun

-Bringing all the above is permitted.

-Spare guns are also strongly encouraged.

-We understand that there are many different people that have different lots in life that have different reasons for using one or more weapons systems in conjunction with their vehicles. You may bring whatever it is that you use for your own defensive purposes.

-1,400 rounds of (recommended factory) carbine, pistol, or target shot

-If you plan on using a combination of weapons systems, divide your ammunition accordingly.

**EXAMPLE*    700 of 5.56x45mm AND 700 of 9mm for those who want to use an AR and their EDC pistol.

-Eye and Ear protection (CLEAR EYE PRO IS MANDATORY FOR THE NIGHT SHOOT)

-Functional and reliable gun light (handheld lights for pistol are permitted but strongly discouraged)

-Night Vision equipment is permitted and encouraged if you own it

***NOTE TAKING MATERIAL IS MANDATORY***

-Sunscreen

-Bug spray

-Rain/ cold weather gear

-Gun cleaning gear/ tools especially for optics (gear gets weird in training)

Other things of note:

There is a $50 range fee PER DAY for this class that will be paid in cash upon arrival.

**ATTENTION PATREON MEMBERS** This is NOT covered with your $41 a month membership. The cost of acquiring material and disposal of that material for class, it would financially be irresponsible of me to not charge full price for this course.

You will probably need to bring a lunch our lunches do not exceed an hour.

There’s a shocking number of people in this world that’ll just declare something to be “inferior” without any real justification for this declaration.
