This is a course dedicated to provide an individual with a set of self defense tools that they can use to develop an individual fighting style. This is not a course that spends 5 hours or half a day (out of two) in the classroom or describing how to load and unload a shotgun via powerpoint. We believe that while theory can be discussed until you’re blue in the face, it’s hands on time spent on a concept that actually builds proficiency, especially in the realm of self defense.

-Mindset of a fighter
-Proper zeroing and holds for shotgun slugs
-Self & home defense theory as well as purpose
-Using a pistol in tandem with a shotgun
-Various loading techniques with different shotgun types
-Efficient Sight acquisition
-Shot spread and leveraging this to our advantage
-Managing a shotgun in a 360 degree environment
-Proactive & Reactive reloads
-Various & situational fighting positions
-Efficiency in clearing stoppages
-An introduction to extreme close quarters shooting
-Movement while shooting
-Use of cover
-Working with a friend
-Crowd management
-An introduction to low light/ no light theory
-Low light techniques gauged for an individual and an individual fighting style

Gear list as follows:
-Quality self defense shotgun. (a spare shotgun or back up gun is a good idea)
-Quality self defense pistol
-*A GUN MOUNTED FLASHLIGHT IS MANDATORY*
-Capability to carry at least 30 shotgun shells between onboard the gun, in the gun, and on your body
-800 birdshot (the cheap stuff) or the load required to cycle an auto loading shotgun
-60 shotgun slugs
-10 of defense load buck shot of your choice
-150 rounds of factory pistol ammunition
-Quality concealed or duty holster and belt
-Spare batteries relevant to the light or optic you are using
-Eye / ear protection. Clear eyepro is also required
-***NOTE TAKING MATERIAL IS MANDATORY***
-Sunscreen
-Bug spray
-Rain/ cold weather gear
-Gun cleaning gear/ tools (gear gets weird in training)
-Proper thread locker for those using anything mounted to their shotgun or mounted light

You will probably need to bring a lunch, as our lunches do not exceed an hour.

It is suggested that you double up on your ear protection, shotguns are loud.

There is a $25 range fee that will be paid in person upon arrival.

There is no minimum age to take this class. However, students under 18 years of age are required to attend the class together with a
participating adult.

Cancellations/Refund/Exchange Policy
If you cancel your training 60 days or more from your class date, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel sooner than 60 days from your class date, you forfeit 50% of your tuition. If you cancel at or inside of 30 days prior to class, you forfeit 100% of your course tuition. Transfers between classes or dates are permitted so long as those other classes have slots available. This policy is firm and there will be no exceptions. Please understand that you are filling a slot that could have gone to someone else. We cannot accommodate cancellations that cost other students spots in our classes. So if possible, we need to the keep the cancellations to a minimum.

Disclaimer: If you choose to modify your guns, you assume the liability of whether or not the gun is operating incorrectly. As such, you alone will be responsible in the event of catastrophic failure of the gun, including damage to the gun and resulting property damage.
